I am open 6:00am-5:30pm Monday-Friday, with some flexibility.
A regular routine is followed each day as I believe children do best when they know what to expect. This includes structured and unstructured indoor and outdoor play, daily circle time, music, story time & crafts.
My day care participates in the CACFP. Healthy, hot meals and snacks are provided.
Education is an important part of early childhood development and is incorporated into our day in multiple ways. Children ages 18 months-5 years have a preschool lesson daily, using play based centers.
My focus is on the seven principles of early childhood development
1. Gross motor skills (large muscle groups)
2. Fine motor skills (small muscles and hand-eye coordination)
3. Language development (alphabetics, phonemic awareness, oral & written language)
4. Cognitive development (cause & effect, reasoning and pre math skills)
5. Social/Emotional (pretend, manners, feeling safe and loved, social skills)
6. Self help/adaptive (toilet training, dressing and feeding and other activities of daily living)
7 . Moral (right/wrong)
